pastor mike's annual report - 2017

As pastor of Versailles Baptist Church, it is a joy serving with an exceptional congregation. We have been blessed with uplifting worship services and witnessed some amazing goals accomplished. As we started the New Year with exciting activities and ministries, it continued throughout the year. Brenda and I are so thankful for the opportunities we have serving with you at Versailles Baptist Church. The Lord is truly blessing our lives and we are truly grateful for all the ministries the Lord is providing and those that we look forward to see starting in 2018. The following are examples of 2017 activities and accomplishments:

A highlight of this year was adding new members to our church family by profession of faith and baptism. The following people include: Silvia Baker, Eliza Monroe, Kaidyn Rena’ Gilpin, Eli David Gilpin and Ethan Schmaltz.

Another highlight of this year was starting the Senior Adult Activities Ministry in April. The Senior Adult Ministry provides a lunch, fellowship time, games and activities to all that come. We have had 45 to attend and all that come truly enjoys their time together.

They were a fun group of children and Katie Davison, Faith Lafary, and Cheryl Welch did done a wonderful job working with and teaching the children skills, lessons and the love of Christ.

Met with our special prayer service at 5:30 PM on Wednesday and Bible study which is another highlight of the ministries of Versailles Baptist Church. Our participation has been fairly good and the Lord is truing blessing our time together. We encourage our church members to come and participate in praying for special needs in our church, families, community and our nation.

Year 2017 was a good and productive year ministering to the needs of our congregation and providing activities and ministries were well worth the time and effort as we witnessed additions to our church family.

As the Lord continues to lead, the year 2018 can be even greater as we to serve, and seek God’s Will for His kingdom. Brenda and I are truly thankful for everything you have done in expression of Christian love, for your prayers and support of us as your pastor. All things are possible through Christ our Lord. Let us prayerfully make 2018 another great and exciting year in the LORD!
